Haul: Topshop & Primark

Over the past few weeks, I've been doing a spot of shopping. It consisting of online and in store.

I have been rambling on about getting a pair of Topshop shorts for ages now, I couldnt find them anywhere (not even Oxford Street) and when I found them, I was unsure of the sizing. So I resulted to buying online. But unfortunatly, I found the size I ordered to 'short' in the leg. Ironic how they were a pair of shorts! So I took them back in store. Browsing round the 'Last Chance to Buy' section, my Mum found a pair of shorts, similar, cheaper, and better fitting! And after trying them on, I fell in love with them!

They are a really cute floaty pair of shorts.

With a really sweet floral pattern.

And it has small gold buttons down the front.

They look nice with a top tucked in, as they are pretty high waisted.

These cost £30 compared to the £32 other pair.

The other thing I brought from the Topshop website that I decided to keep was this Gold Foil Tube Skirt.

I wear stretchy skirts a lot, and this is a nice add to my collection! Its perfect for night time!

Its duo crome.

Its a really nice texture, and I'll be wearing it a lot this summer!

It was £10 in the sale.

Then I went to Primark and picked up a few accessories.

I was really in need of some new sandals, Ive been wearing the same ones for abotu 2 years now! I fell in love with these as soon as I saw them!

They have the most adorable flower embellishment on the front!

These were £6.

The next thing I brought is something I've been looking for for a while, a scarf that I can wear as the weather gets hotter.

I love the pattern, and its the silk is so soft.

This was £3.

And the final thing is something for the Jubilee and Olypics. Primark have a great range of all things Brittish for the upcoming events!

Union Jack False Nails! I cant wait to wear them!

And they were only £1!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Candy NOTD

I saw this idea in Glamour magazine, and tried it out for myself:

With flash

Without flash.

I used:
Barry M Mint Green
Barry M Shocking Pink
Cocktail Stick

Its really simple, all you do it paint your nails with your desired colour, and with a cocktail stick, use the other contrasting colour to draw two diagonal lines in the corner of your nail.

I love the look of these, and they are perfect from the spring time!

I hope you try it for yourself!

Review: Real Techniques Stippling Brush

For an Easter present, my best friend Alex brought me the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. (And one for herself). How lovely of her!

I've used the brush about 3 times now, enough to give it a full review!

So here's a picture of the brush:

Not that it would distract me from the product, but the packaging is nothing special, but your not going to be keeping it in the packaging are you?

They were created by Samantha Chapman from pixiewoo and are meant to be 'the perfect brush.' This is basically an all rounder brush. It can be used for liquid foundation, cream foundation, powder foundation, powder blusher and cream blusher. It is incredibly versatile and is a staple brush every makeup junkie should have in their collection!

You can see from the back, the description.

You can see the shape of the brush.

It is honestly the softest, most luxurious brush I have EVER used! It is so easy to use, and makes your foundation look absolutely flawless, I couldn't believe the result!

This particular brush is £11.99 and is available from Boots and the Real Techniques Website.

Have you tried any of the brushes? What are your thoughts?

Review: Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie

Here is my second review of my Revlon Lip Butter, in the shade Berry Smoothie.

Buttery balm with beautiful shiny colour to give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips

Berry Smoothie- R

They all have adorable food related names.

Berry Smoothie is a dusky pink with, some say, yellow undertones.

This is darker than your average pink, but still a beautiful colour that is still wearable for everyday!

Generally, this are incredibly pigmented, and glide on the lips like a dream! They are very moisturising, and do not dry out the lips. They are easy to wear throughout the day, and are not sticky like some lip products can be.
The Lip Butters don't have a scent as such, but do we really need a nice smelling lipstick? Yes, its a nice benefit, (MAC lipsticks smell lovely) but, the fact of the matter is, you cant smell it when its on your lips!
They aren't very hard wearing, compared to some products. Your looking at about 4-5 hours, depending on what your doing, so you might want to carry it with you for touch ups. (Although be wary, as they will melt in heat)!
You don't get a lot of product for the money, about 2cm, which I suppose isn't too bad, but if your wearing them on a daily basis, you may find them going down pretty quickly!
The packaging is very sleek and the quilted, 'Chanel like' front adds extra sophistication.
The top is see-through, so you can see the product through the lid, which I think is a nice idea, so you can see which lipstick it is!
The packaging is similar to the Revlon Lipsticks, but only more sheer.
They are £7.99 to buy, and are available in Boots and Superdrug.
Boots currently has a 3 for 2 offer on.
Overall, I am so impressed with them. They are the perfect mixture of a lipstick, and lip balm!
What are your thoughts?

Every Little Helps!

Being a beauty obsessive, leads me to browsing a lot of websites, looking for new products and great deals.

Whilst looking on websites, I found that many brands do gift sets, which is an amazing way to save money, as well as find fabulous presents for people!

So whilst looking at them, I've made a list of some gift sets, which I defiantly am going to be purchasing!

1.

Benefit POREfessionally Pretty Kit

I've had my eye on Benefit's the POREfessional for a while now, and this set has been around for a bit, but I still haven't got round to buying it! Review: Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake

Oh hey bandwagon! So yes, I know you have probably read a hundred and one reviews on the Revlon Lip Butters, but I'll give you my two pennies worth!

Now, you will know that these little babies have caused quite a stir in the beauty world, and I've finally, after weeks of asking in my local Boots and Superdrug, got my hands on some!

The first review is going to be of the shade Strawberry Shortcake.

Strawberry Shortcake- L

Buttery balm with beautiful shiny colour to give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips

They all have adorable food related names.

Strawberry Shortcake is a bright pink with blue undertones, and a hint of lilac in some lights.

When on the lips, it is a beautiful, wearable colour, for all skin types.

Generally, this are incredibly pigmented, and glide on the lips like a dream! They are very moisturising, and do not dry out the lips. They are easy to wear throughout the day, and are not sticky like some lip products can be.
