My Favourite Pink Nail Polishes & Summer Picks

Hi Ladies. With Summer basically upon us, (not that you would know it with the rubbish weather in the UK) I thought I would show you my favourite pink nail varnishes that are also great picks for those warmer days when you are looking for a pop of colour on your nails.

Sinful Colours- Orange Cream
When in my local Boots, I was originally looking for Barry M Peach Melba; for some reason all Barry M nail polishes were out of stock, something to do with a faulty batch. So the next brand I immediately looked at was Sinful Colours. I found a colour almost identical to Peach Melba and bought it without hesitation. The formula is lovely, and I wore it for three days without a top coat and it didn't chip at all!

OPI- It's All Greek To Me
I bought this in Target in Florida, (sighs longingly) and wore it nearly everyday whilst I was there. It is the most gorgeous pink. One coat is enough for an opaque covering. The photo above doesn't really do it justice as it is so much prettier in person. I highly recommend this polish, not just for the colour, but the formula and finish is bar none.

Essie- Fiji
I managed to grab this on my Boots advantage card. It is a classic, effortless colour and is so easy to pull off. It compliments almost all skin tones and is the perfect nude without being to white. It looks very elegant too.

Barry M- Flamingo
Flamingo is a bright coral- pink. Again, it is very flattering, and for £2.99 you can't really go wrong. It is one of my go-to summer colours that I rely on again and again for a bright pop of colour on my nails. The formula is alright, once you try higher end nail varnishes, Barry M doesn't seem like the be all and end all, like it use to in my very early teens. But as I said, for the money, it's great!

Models Own- Soda Pop Pink
I bought this at The Clothes Show back in December for around £2 on a whim, and had never used it until about 3 months ago. I would describe it as a dusty rose pink colour. Different to your usual pastel pink- just slightly darker. I think its a little more subtle as its not as bright as in your face as some baby pinks. The formula is again alright with this, and it smells pretty awful, but I paid a minimal price for it, so I really can't complain!

What are your favourite nail polishes for Summer?

Review | Korres Plum Lip Butter

(Me wearing it on a night out in Cambridge with MAC Woodwinked on my eyes)

Hello Ladies. Today I am going to share with you a product that at the end of last year, every beauty blogger was raving about. As usual I'm late on the bandwagon, but never the less, here is my review of Korres Plum Lip Butter. Korres is a really lovely brand. Everything Korres make is organic, sourcing their essential fruit oils and herbal infusions locally, which makes buying it all the better.

First of all, the packaging of this is lovely. It's in two cute little boxes and then the actual product is in a  really sturdy, classic white plastic pot with a lid the colour of the product.
The shade I decided to get was 'Plum'. Part of me thought about getting a brighter pink but I don't really own many plum/ berry shades so I thought I would try something new.

The first thing that shocked me (in a good way) when I took the lid off was the scent. It smells absolutely divine! I couldn't believe a product so small could smell so delicious! The second thing that surprised me was the pigmentation. This thing is crazy pigmented! As you can probably see from the swatch above! I was just expecting a regular balm, but it is like a glossy lipstick in balm form!

Another great thing is that it is not sticky in the slightest; which is always great as no one wants their hair stuck to their lips! It is also incredibly moisturising, which is just another added factor that makes it such a brilliant product. It's made of Shea Butter and Rice Wax for 'deep hydration and softness'.

Overall, I absolutely love it, and I already have my eye on a few other colours! I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a product that is going to give you a gorgeous pop of colour whilst still looking subtle, as well as being moisturising and non sticky.

Korres is available to buy from FeelUnique,  ASOS and I bought mine from Oliver Bonas. Depending on where you buy them, they retail for £7 or £8. I paid £7 for mine.

Have you tried Korres Lip Butters? What are your thoughts?

Fashion & Beauty Haul | Topshop, New Look, Boots & More

Hi Ladies. I have been doing a spot of shopping recently. This shopping is a mixture of things I bought in Cambridge with my friend Lauren, and the rest is a few bits and bobs I picked up after work yesterday. Some products are things I needed to repurchase, and others are just a little treat!

Miss Selfridge LOVE Crop Top
£18

I saw this top online and really liked the look of it, and when I tried it on instore, I knew it would be perfect to wear with high waisted shorts to the one day festival (Fusion Birmingham) I am going to.

Topshop Heart Shirt
£38

This is a classic shirt. Whilst it was pretty pricy, I know I will get a lot of wear out of it, as it will never get old. Also I thought it would be great for my upcoming work experience at my local newspaper.

New Look Striped Bodycon Dress
£12.99

I've got a party on Friday, and I loved this dress. Its so simple but yet flattering. Its also very modest, as it is just above the knee. Being 5:11, dresses can sometimes look incredibly short on me!

Office Bow Pumps
£25

I have been in desperate need of new shoes, and I adore this pair. They are so pretty and will really spice up a plain outfit. I really love the big statement bow too.

New Look Floral Pumps
£9.99

These were a complete bargain, and I have already got a lot of use out of them. I love wearing them with a simple white dress. They are so pretty, and great quality for the money.

New Look Statement Necklace
£4.99

I bought this to go with my dress for the party, and I love the combination. Kayleigh has got me into statement necklaces, and I know this one will not be my last!

Accessorize Earrings (was a pack of two)
£8

These came as a pack with a pink pair in too. I knew I wouldn't wear both of them as they are too similar, but I have been wanting a blue pair of earrings like this for quite some time now. In the end, me and Lauren paid half each, and now we both have a pair!

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 05 Candy Shimmer
£17

These little beauties have been all over the blogosphere recently, and I have been lusting after them. I finally thought I would bite the bullet and buy one, and I can safely say, I have not been disappointed. Expect a review very soon!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation & Concealer, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, Bourjois Cream Blush in Healthy Glow
Foundation: £8.99, Powder: £3.99, Blush (offer) £6.99, Concealer: £5.49

These are just some bits I have been needing to repurchase. I was fast running out of foundation, concealer and powder, so I bought my favourites. I also bought a cream blush as they look really lovely.

Korres Plum Lip Butter
£7

I remember looking at these in one of my favourite shops Oliver Bonas, way before they were popular in the blogging world. I hadn't got round to buying one until now, but I'm so glad I did. They are really lovely and effortless to wear.

Topshop Lipstick in Macaroon
£8

This has been on my wishlist for a LONG time. I love Topshop lipsticks and this is a perfect summer colour. Next on my list is Infrared. The infamous bright orange!

St Moriz Self Spray Tan
£2.99

I bought this as a quick fix when I can't be bothered to fake tan (and that's a lot of the time). St Moriz is raved about a lot so I thought I would give it a go.

So there is my recent purchases. I have gone a bit crazy recently! I make myself feel better by saying its for the good of my blog!
