My Week in Photos #21

Hi everyone. I am still yet to get a new camera, so all the pictures I have attempted to take have been on my phone or with a camera with a broken screen- so sorry about that!

I forgot to show you my new dip-dyed hair last week!

Some goodies from Yves Saint Laurent & OPI- Oxford Street, how could I resist?!

Wednesday Wishlist #5

Hi guys, sorry my posts have been lacking a bit recently, but whilst on a day out at Ystradfellte Waterfalls, I managed to fall over and break my camera; being the clumsy person that I am! So until I get a new one, I'll have to use a not so good quality camera, but I haven't got round to sorting that out yet!

Anyway, here's my Wednesday Wishlist!

1. MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft N Gentle- I love highlighting, but have always used liquid highlighters. (i.e Benefit High Beam). I'm looking to transfer to powder highlighter, and have heard countless amazing reviews of MAC Soft N Gentle. MAC currently have the Heavenly Creatures Collection out, and there is a few other Mineralize Skin Finishes out with it, but I prefer this one to the highlighting shades in the collection.
RRP: £21.50

2. Forever 21 Sheer Ditsy Bow Top- This weekend I am going to London to watch Volleyball at the Olympics, and when that's finished, I'm planning on nipping down Oxford Street as I want to go to Selfridges. Watching one of MacBarbie07 videos, I saw here wearing this shirt, and loved it! So Forever 21 is on the list of shops to go to when I'm down Oxford Street!
RRP: £16.75

3. NARS Laguna Bronzer- I have never been a big user of bronzer, but as of late, with it getting hotter, I'm finding I want to add a little colour to my face. Laguna is possibly the most talked about bronzer, and its one that I defiantly want to add to my collection!
RRP: £22

4. Marc Jacobs Dot- Yesterday me and my Mum were out and smelt Marc Jacobs new perfume for the first time, and fell utterly in love! At one point or another, we have owned quite a few of his perfumes (Daisy, Lola and Oh Lola) and our love for his fragrances has carried on. The scent of this one is completely different to all of the others, and is defiantly my favourite out of the lot!
RRP: £37

Say Hello, Wave Goodbye

Today was another event that I went to was due to my sister. It was her end of Primary school party, and she arrived with her friends in a limo. Here's a picture of her:

Here what I was wearing this afternoon:

Shorts: Topshop
Top: H&M
Ring: The Prettiest Things
Bracelet: Topshop
Sandals: Primark
Sunglasses: Primark
Earrings: Forever 21

I'm thinking of doing a video tutorial on my youtube channel.

Its quite a summery look, with gold eyeshadow with a pop of colour on the waterline, the orange and blue tones clashing to create a quirky look.

I heard Tanya talking about how much she loves MAC Woodwinked with a blue eyeliner, and when I tried it out for myself, I really liked it!

What are your thoughts?

Wednesday Wishlist #4

1. Missguided Hanssil Wrap Over Asymmetric Skirt- I'm umming and arring about buying this skirt. I first saw it on one of my fashion icons, (picture below) and tried to find a dupe. I made an order with Missguided the other day and ordered a dress that I wanted, and was about to buy this as well, when I seeked some motherly advice. The conclusion was; would I wear it enough to benefit buying it? As its not this sort of garment that is timeless, its going to go out of fashion pretty quickly. But now, I kind of wish I'd bought it. I think Ill sleep on it!
RRP: £14.99

Eleanor Calder rocking an almost identical skirt!

2. Topshop Ponte Boyfriend Blazer- I wear my black blazer a lot, and I am looking for one in a lighter colour, that is more suitable for this kind of year; although I shouldn't need a blazer for this time of year! (Curse British weather)! I really like the look of this blazer, it looks really fitted, and really feminine.
RRP: £40

3. Chanel Coco Rouge Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Magnolia- This lipstick shade is the one on the Chanel advert, and I fell in love with it instantly. It is a beautiful light shimmery pink that is perfect for summer! Despite the hefty price tag, I think this lipstick needs to be added to my collection! I will defiantly be swatching it when I'm next at a Chanel counter!
RRP: £24

4. Topshop Knitted Multi Hearts Jumper- I know, I know, you're probably thinking, why is a jumper on a wishlist in July, we haven't even had summer and your thinking about winter?! With the current climate, a loose knit light jumper is exactly what I want to be wearing! It is the sort of item, that can be worn all year, with shorts, over a vest top, or with jeans. And the print is just so cute!
RRP: £36

She Said Beauty Box Review: Miners Bronzer & Blusher Blend

After posting about my She Said Beauty Box, I got a lot of feedback, wanting a review of the Miners Bronzer and Blusher Blend.

I have been using all the products for a while now, so I feel like I can give you a fair review.

I had never even heard of Miners Cosmetics before receiving this in my She Said Box, and I love finding new companies that make great products!

The packaging for this is relatively cheap. Theres nothing wrong with it, but I feel a little wary as I think if I were to drop it, it wouldn't survive!
It is very light weight, and the perfect size to carry in your handbag.

Usually, I don't wear bronzer, and personally, I don't think this is the sort of product that you can use both parts separately. I like to swirl them together to create a unique blush colour.

I said I didn't like the packaging, but I find that when you see the product itself, it looks a little more sophisticated.

As you can see from the photo, it is quite shimmery, which is why i wouldn't recommend it as a bronzer alone. The shimmer isn't too noticeable when on the cheeks, but I feel it could be a bit too much to use to contour.

This is how each swirl is swatched individually. They are surprising pigmented. On their own, they both look like nothing special, but when swirled together with a light hand, they create a beautiful new blush shade that is incredibly universal.

There is a highlighter/bronzer duo too, and they can both be purchased from the Miners Cosmetics website.

This product is retailed £4.99, which I think is excellent value for money, as you get a lot of product for what you pay for.
Have you tried Miners Cosmetics?

Review: MAC Teddy Eye Kohl

Woodwinked Eyeshadow and Teddy Eye Kohl were two products that were recommended to me a long time ago, and after recently receiving them as a gift, I have been adoring wearing them together! They compliment each other perfectly!

It comes in the usual sleek, black MAC packaging, but this time with a subtle glitter.

This eyeliner has to be, by far, the most pigmented eyeliner I own! It is so luxurious to apply!
MAC describe it as an Intense Bronze which sums it up really! It does have a slight shimmer to it too, but not enough to make it incredibly noticeable.

Usually, I like wearing black eyeliner, to make my lashes look thicker, but I have found, wearing this, gives you a more natural, 'girl next door' look that is completely appropriate for this time of year!

Personally, I think this eyeliner wears really well; I always wear a primer on my eye lids, but I don't know if it would fare to well if it came into contact with water, so I wouldn't recommend it as a waterproof eyeliner.

This eyeliner is priced at £14.

Wednesday Wishlist #3

1. Missguided Aldara Tailored Lace Pleat Dress in Cyan Blue- For a while now, I have been on the hunt for the perfect lace dress. After watching MacBarbie07 talk about her lace dress from H&M, I've been wanting one similar. In the end I found the same dress she has, but it didn't fit as well as I had hoped. But after casting my eyes on this dress- I fell in love! The colour is just stunning, and the epitome of summer! I've got lots of things I could wear this too, so I defiantly think I'll be buying this!!
RRP: £24.99

2. New Look Hot Pink Heart Shape Sunglasses- Again, another trend that I have fallen in love with because of MacBarbie07- she is one of my fashion idols! I think heart sunglasses are so sweet and feminine, and perfect for summer! I love these hot pink ones, and would go great with the lace dress!!
RRP: £4.99

3. Topshop Pearl Triangle Ring- Triangles seem to be all the rage at the moment, and I haven't really paid that much attention to them. But I saw this ring, and thought how cool it is! I love pearls and gold together and think this would also go really well with both the clothing items I have in my wishlist!
RRP: £6.50

4. Topshop Tall Collared Playsuit- Another trend that I'm really into- cool collars! I love the colour scheme of this playsuit, and I think the cut would be really flattering on. It would be really light and easy to wear, and is the sort of clothing item you could dress up or down. You could wear it with a pair of gladiator sandals, or killer heels!
RRP: £48

Review: MAC Eyeshadow in Woodwinked

I think I mentioned on my blog that I was ill the other weekend. And as I was lying in bed, thinking I couldn't possibly feel any worse, my dad came home. (He works away in the week). He then presented me with a MAC bag with a few things I have had my eye on! So Thank You Dad!

The first item, is an Eyeshadow in the shade Woodwinked.

What MAC says:

Warm antique gold

It is a Veluxe Pearl Finish.

It is a very intense gold colour, that has very strong orange undertones, which I can imagine could be very hard to pull off, if you have very fair features. Having slightly darker features myself; I can get away with it!
It is not a very glittery eyeshadow, it contains more of a subtle shimmer.
I like wearing this at night, as it is a very simple shade that can be amplified, making your eyes really pop! I usually wear it with Teddy Eye Kohl.
The pigmentation is as usual fantastic. You only need a tiny swirl of your brush as a little goes a long way!

Overall, I absolutely love this colour. It is very versatile. It can be worm day to night, summer to winter!

What are your thoughts on Woodwinked?

Whats in my June She Said Box?

I have never subscribed to a Beauty Box before. Ive always wanted to, but just never got round to it! It was a tough decision between She Said, Glossy Box & Jolie Box; but in the end, She Said got my vote!

It comes in a hot pink cardboard box. Love instantly!

The actual box is a Tiffany coloured pastel blue that looks very expensive!

When I first opened the box, I was so excited! I saw a Stylfile! I have been wanting one for the longest time, but never got round to purchasing one.

The list of products I received in the box:

Tom Pellereau StylFile
Miners Bronzer and Blush Blend
Murad Time Release Blemish Cleanser
The Vintage Cosmetics Company Eyelash Curlers
Icecrystals Exfoliator

I will be doing reviews of these products when I have used them a few times!

Touche Éclat on a Budget?

Being one of the most hyped about products in the beauty world, Touche Éclat is loved by woman internationally.

Not being one to suffer to badly with under eye circles, but I do find I need something to make me look wide awake!

It is the Maybellie Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Under Eye Concealer.

Although it doesn't have a very wide colour range, I have found the perfect shade for my under eye area.

Packaging is pretty standard. For just over £5, you cant expect the shiny gold packaging like YSL, also, Touche Éclat has a push button at the top to release the product, whereas the Maybelline Concealer has a twist application. And they both have a similar brush.

Onto the product itself.

Before:

(Sorry about the dodgy photos!)

As you can see, it does make, quite a difference!

It is quite thick in texture, making it feel luxurious to apply.

Overall, I am incredibly pleased with this purchase, and will be using it daily in the near future!

(Late) Wednesday Wishlist #2

Little late with this one! But better late than never! Here are a few things I have my eyes on at the moment!

1. MAC Mineralize Blush in Solar Ray- As you will probably have seen, MAC have just launched another new collection called Heavenly Creature. Usually, I don't really pay much attention to MAC collections, unless they are something really special; which this collection is! Ive recently been looking into Mineralize products, and have had my eye on Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft N Gentle. So when I saw this collection consisted mainly on Mineralize products, I know I have to get some! This blush is described as peach and gold melange.
RRP: £19

2. MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow in Neo Nebula- Again, another product from the collection, which I defiantly want to get my hands on. There are a lot of stunning colours in the collection, but a lot are similar to ones I already own. This colour looks simply as stunning on the eyes as it does on the lid, and it being a purple toned shadow, it will compliment my eye colour.
It is described as cream, warm amethyst and warm pink melange.
RRP: £16.50

3, Topshop Cross Print Leggings- I love Topshop Leggings. I already own one pair of pattern leggings from Topshop, (OFOTD here.) And I love them! They are super quality and have some really cool designs. I am all for crosses at the moment, whether it being clothing to jewellery, and as soon as I saw these, I fell in love! They are a simple pair of black leggings with glittery silver crosses on. LOVE!
RRP: £20

4. Topshop Floral Pleated Dip Hem Skirt- For ages now, I have been lusting after a Dip Hem Skirt, but have never found one that I have fallen in love with. But I think this could be the one! The pattern is really sweet, and I think the pleats will make it look more flattering on.
RRP: £32
