Wishlist | Face & Skincare

Hello Ladies! Today I have put together a little wishlist of 'skin' products that I have had my eye on for a while! First is Alpha H Liquid Gold. I am always on the look out for that 'miricale skin product' that is going to give me perfect, glowing skin and leave me looking like Kim Kardashian. Whether or not this product is going to work is another story, but I have heard so many amazing reviews, saying that you really quickly see a difference so I am very intrigued to try it!
I have only ever used Revlon lip products, but I have always wanted to try face products from them. Revlon Photoready Primer & Revlon Colourstay Foundation seem like the duo for my oily skin.
Another product that seems to be having good reviews written about it recently is Origins Clear Improvement Clay Mask. I love Origins products, and some of my skincare staples are Origins, and I really want to try this to banish my blocked pores.
Strictly speaking, this isn't a 'skin' product, but I really want to try It's A 10 Miracle Leave in Product to keep my hair looking and feeling healthy.
My Origins moisturiser is nearly gone, so I ordered a small size of Philosophy Hope in a Jar Moisturiser. I am yet to try it, but I hope it woks well for me!
Lastly is a repurchase of one of my favourite and most used face products: MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural. I have had this for a year now, and it is nearly gone, so I definitely need to repurchase one!

Whats on your wishlist?

'Going Out' Makeup Look

Hi Ladies! Sorry I have been absent recently! I've had so much going on and haven't had time to sit down and write a post! I've really missed blogging!
After seeing Tanya Burr do a makeup tutorial using MAC Lipstick in Rebel, I knew I wanted to have it in my collection. I then received it for Christmas from my little sister. I then re-created Tanya's look with my own products. It is the perfect glamorous look for going out, I will defiantly be wearing it a lot!

For the face, I didn't do anything too extravagant. My foundation is a little to dark for my skin, as it is my summer foundation. I was planning on using Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, but my skin is in pretty bad condition, so I wanted something with a little more coverage.
The products I used were:

Benefit That Gal Primer
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer (under eyes)
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (blemishes)
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural
MAC Buff Powder Blush

For the eyes, I started off priming with MUA Professional Eye Primer. I then used MAC Naked Lunch all over the lid, using a flat shadow brush. Then I used Urban Decay Blackout on a hard angled brush to create a soft line on my upper water line. I then slightly winged it out, then at the end of the wing, drew a line through my crease, about a third of the way. Then using a blending brush, softened the line. Then using a fluffy brush, I used Sleek Illusion in the corner of the wing to deepen the look, and on the lower lash line. I then used MAC Smolder Eye Kohl in my water line, and applied YSL Shocking Mascara.

On my lips, I am wearing MAC Rebel.

Hope you try this look out for yourself- it really is lovely, and so easy to recreate!

Soap & Glory 'The Best of All' Gift Set

Hi Ladies. I'm sure most of you will know about, (or will have received from Father Christmas) the Soap & Glory 'Best of All' Gift Set. Soap & Glory release a gift set each year in Boots, usually for a dramatically reduced price that what its worth! Not that I'm complaining!! My Mum received this from my Dad for Christmas, but we came to the conclusion to share it! (Win win situation for me)! The 9 FULL SIZED products come in an adorable travel bag that is perfect for carrying toiletries for a weekend away/holiday.

It contains 9 of Soap & Glory's best loved products which, together retail for over £60. It was reduced in Boots for a lesser price of £27, which is an absolute bargain!

I have only ever tried Hand Food and The Righteous Butter, so being a lover of beauty, I was very intrigued to try the products in the set. They are:

Sugar Crush Body Scrub (300ml)
Clean On Me Shower Gel (500ml)
Smoothie Star Body Milk (500ml)
Peaches & Clean Cleansing Milk (200ml)
Hand Food Hand Cream (125ml)
Heel Genius Smoothing Foot Mask (125ml)
The Righteous Butter Body Butter (300ml)
Super-Colour Sexy Mother Pucker Plumping Lipgloss (3ml)
Thick & Fast Mascara (10ml)

Undoubtedly you get your moneys worth with this set! I am still using up products I had before this, so I am yet to try most of the products. But Mum gave me the Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss as she didn't like it; and I love it! I don't really notice a difference in my lips, (although I have very full lips anyway) but I love the colour and the tingling sensation is cool. Although it is a tiny bit sticky- I learnt my lesson after wearing it with my hair down in the windy country!

You would be very lucky to find one in your local Boots now, as they are usually sold out even before Christmas!

What are your thoughts on Soap & Glory products?

Lots of Love

My 2012 Favourites! ♥ Makeup, Fashion & More!

I think its safe to say, 2012 has been a pretty good year for everyone, especially so if you live in the UK! With the Queens Diamond Jubilee and the spectacular event which was the Olympics and the Paralympics (I was lucky enough to attend aspects of all three events)! for patriotic members of the country like me, it has been a year full of celebrations!

Today, I am going to share with you my favourites beauty products, clothes and random things!

Skincare

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, Clarisonic Mia, Origins Balanced Diet Moisturiser

All three of these items are staple products in my skincare routine. I have used Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish for just over a year now, and received my third bottle for Christmas this year. I will be writing a review of my beloved Clarisonic Mia very soon, as well as my Origins Moisturiser, but they are both superb products that are making a (slow) difference to my skin.

Body Care

Lush It's Raining Men Shower Gel, Soap and Glory The Breakfast Scrub, Bath & Body Works Vanilla Bean Noell Shower Gel

Firstly, I am going to point out that all of these products are the best smelling items I own! I adore using both shower gels as they smell so divine, and I can still sniff the lingering scent throughout the day! The Breakfast Scrub was a birthday present from my lovely best friend Alex and I reach for it once or twice in the week to leave my legs soft!

Hair

Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Shampoo & Conditioner , Aussie 3 Minute Miracle

Having ombre hair, I am now using different hair products from what I used to. The Lee Stafford duo have really helped my hair retain its 'blondness' and I have a review of it here Using a toning shampoo & conditioner once a week does dry my hair out, so along side them, I use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle as a deep conditioner, to make my hair lovely and soft.

Makeup

Foundation

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation

I wear this foundation whenever I am going out, and I feel so confident when I am wearing it.

Concealer

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Both of these provide excellent coverage for under eye circles and blemishes and are long lasting.

Face

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, MAC Buff Powder Blush, MAC Soft N Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish

I love using all of these to create a natural flushed look. Cakiness isn't a problem, and they are all very long lasting.

Eyeshadow

MAC Pro Palette (top-bottom: Naked Lunch, Ricepaper, All That Glitters & Woodwinked), Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

These two palettes provide all I need to create all sorts of eye looks. And have been my most reached for palettes of the year.

Eyeliner

Maybelline 24h Gel Liner, MAC Smolder Eye Kohl, MAC Teddy Eye Kohl, Rimmel Nude Eye Kohl

All of these are amazing and well worth the money. I absolutely love MAC Eyeliners, and with the Maybelline Gel Liner, a wing is so easy to achieve.

Mascara

YSL Shocking Mascara, Maybelline The Falsies Mascara

Although I received the YSL Mascara for Christmas, I tried it earlier in the year and loved it. It gives such amazing volume! And I love The Falsies for every day!

Lips:

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Crush & Honey, Rimmel Lipstick in 107, Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me, MAC Lipstick in Creme Cup

I love all of these lipsticks and each are different. All have amazing pigmentation and I find them very easy to wear.

Nail Polish

OPI Golden Eye

I have loved this polish ever since I bought it, and think it looks simply stunning on the nails! It also is very long lasting and easy to remove, which is something hard to find in a glitter polish!

Fragrence

Bath & Body Works Honey Autumn Apple Body Mist, Vera Wang Princess

I wear these together every day, and often get my friends telling me how nice I smell! Defiantly my go-to scents of 2012.

Fashion

Topshop Shorts, H&M Top

Anyone who knows me personally will know that this is my favourite outfit! I have worn them together so much and through all seasons! With tights and a coat and I took them to Florida with me too!

Candle

Bath & Body Works Cinnamon Sugared Donut

This is hands down my favourite candle ever! It smells so realistic! How I wish I lived in the US so I could buy another one!

Music

One Direction Take Me Home, Taylor Swift Red, Ed Sheeran +, Mumford & Sons Sigh No More & Babel

I couldn't pick a particular song for the whole year, so I chose my favourite artists, whose albums I bought! These are my top picks!

TV

My favourite TV shows of the year would have to be The Vampire Diaries, Made in Chelsea, Downton Abbey, Friday Night Dinner and Misfits!

Films

So many great films came out this year, but my stand outs would be The Hunger Games, The Lucky One, Breaking Dawn Part II and Magic Mike.

Blogger & Youtuber

My favourite blogger of the year is Kayleigh from CoutureGirl. Her blog is so beautifully set out and the content is always fabulous. Not to mention she is beautiful!
My favourite female youtuber is Tanya from Pixi2Woo. I watch all of her videos and adore her makeup tutorials, she is such a talented makeup artist and she is so sweet!
And my favourite male youtuber is so hard to pick! So my favourites are Marcus, Alfie, Casper and Jack (and Finn).

I hope you have an amazing 2013, and it is full of opportunity!
