Birmingham Haul | MAC, Boots, Hollister & Forever 21

Hi Ladies. I'm currently flying high as a kite, as last night I saw One Direction in concert! Its no secret that I adore them and my friends and I have been waiting over a year to see them! They were absolutely amazing and put on such a good show. I just wish I could relive it over again. (There is a pun there if you are familiar with 1D songs! Haha). Anyway, fangirl over; before the concert, we went shopping in one of my favourite places: Birmingham Bullring. So on with the haul!

I love Real Techniques Brushes, and I have quite a few already. I have been wanting the Core Collection for over a year, but every time I went to buy it, I managed to talk myself out of it. But I saw a 3 for 2 offer on in Boots and I couldn't resist! It consists of a Contour Brush, Pointed Foundation Brush, Detailer Brush and Buffing Brush. I am really excited to use the Buffing Brush as every blogger/ youtuber raves about it!
RRP: £21.99

This is my second Rimmel Apocalips (review soon) and I really wanted to try this shade. It is a dusty mauve colour that looks stunning on the lips. I also have Big Bang which is a bright in your face, pillar box red. The consistency of these is awesome and there is a really good colour range!
RRP: £5.99

This time last year, there was a massive amount of hype around the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Cream Eyeshadows. I still love them, and when I found out there was a new release, I had to have it! Now I have a teeny, tiny, completely controlled obsession with rose gold. I have my Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, shoes, nail varnish theres just something about it! I thought this colour would be perfect for me, and as a bonus, I got it free on a 3 for 2 offer!
RRP: £4.49

When I went to MAC in Selfridges I had my heart set on two things from the Archie's Girl collection: Betty Bright lipstick and Kiss & Don't Tell Lipglass. Unfortunately, Betty Bright was sold out, but I still purchased this. Reviews are to follow, but it is described as a Bright Coral, and looks lovely alone or paired with another lipstick.
RRP: £15

I bought MAC Costa Chic instead of Betty Bright, which is another lipstick I have been lusting after. It is a Frost finish, and described as a Frosty Light Coral. I adore coral lips, and this colour is simply beautiful, and I know I will get a lot of use out of it!
RRP: £14

For the past 5 months, I have been using my beloved Bath and Body Works Honey Autumn Apple Body Spray that I bought in Florida. It is nearly all gone so I decided to replace it with a Hollister spray. This one is really summery, incredibly sweet, and smells like pineapple!
RRP: Me and my friends paid £7 each on the 3 for £24 offer.

I must admit, I've never been a huge fan of Hollister, and never actually bought anything until yesterday. It is usually incredibly overpriced for what it is. I really like the monochrome, black and white trend at the moment, and I saw this T-Shirt in the sale, and I really liked it. I think it will look nice with a pair of denim shorts.
RRP: £12.90

I love scarves, and wear them all the time. This turquoise pashmina in Forever caught my eye and I know I will get a lot of wear out of it in the spring months. It is really soft and lovely quality for the money!
RRP: £7

Last but not least, I couldn't not buy a programme for 1D!

What have you bought recently?

I Went To Chanel...

Slap my wrists! As well as splurging at MAC at the weekend, I also bought possibly the most expensive makeup product I will ever own! But boy, was it worth it!

It is the Chanel Vitalumier Aqua Foundation!

In Debenhams, a very helpful lady at the Chanel counter matched me to my skin colour. As I was paying for the foundation, she began to put it in a normal Debenhams bag, and I'm pretty sure she saw the look of disappointment in my face, as I was hoping for a Chanel bag. She then put it in a beautiful Chanel bag, which has now taken pride of place on the top of my shelf! I felt like someone from the cast of Made in Chelsea with this little baby on my arm!

It is surprising small in person- even though it is the normal 30ml.

I am in the shade 20 Beige.

Isn't the packaging gorgeous? Who would think that such a simple logo could make a girls heart flutter?!

What Chanel says:

CHANEL VITALUMIÈRE AQUA Ultra-Light Skin Perfective Makeup Instant Natural Radiance SPF15 30ml. A new-generation texture. An unprecedented sensory experience. A unique makeup result. Rapid and easy application. VITALUMIÈRE AQUA. Apply your makeup without thinking about it. Its soft and evanescent ultra-fine fluid texture is a real surprise: although exceptionally delicate and light, it offers an incomparable second-skin perfecting result. The complexion appears amazingly even, freshand energised. The skin glows with seemingly nude beauty. As if lit from within. Bathed in light... Its formula, enriched with a UVB sun filter and mineral sunscreen, protects the skin from damaging sun rays (SPF 15). Its crystalline fragrance accentuates the sensation of freshness and pleasure on application.

Sorry, a lot to take in!

It really does what it says on the tin. Although it is not the most high coverage foundation on the market, it makes my skin look flawless, and it really is weightless! With SPF 15 it is wearable during summer, and even without a primer it lasts all day, which, having an oily complexion, is usually a problem for me.

Which leads me onto the fact that, the name has 'Aqua' in it, which suggests it is a water based foundation. (Hence the fact you need to shake it before application, unless you want a watery mess)! Usually alarm bells would ring, making you think that this foundation would be unsuitable for oily skin, but in my opinion, it is perfect!

It suits all skin types, and Chanel have a relatively large range of shades.

Pricing:

On my shopping trip, it was this that did the damage.

£32.

Some may ask, is it worth it?

My reply;

Every penny!

What are your thoughts on the Chanel Vitalumier Aqua foundation?

I Went To MAC...

I can only apologise for my recent lack of posts, but I will be making up for it, by writing lots of new posts, and two new youtube videos are up on my channel- yay!

On Saturday, me and my best friend went to Birmingham on a shopping trip that we had been planning for at least 3 months! We were originally going to go to Cardiff, but there was a problem with the trains to Cardiff, so we changed to Birmingham at the last minute, but I think its safe to say, we're both glad we did!

I've recorded a Big Collective Haul where I show all the bits I have bought recently, but I'm going to do a few blog posts, to talk about some of the products in more depth.

Unlike Cardiff, Birmingham has no MAC store, just a counter in Selfridges. As expected, it was manic, but we did find a lovely sales assistant to help us find what we wanted.

The first item I wanted, was the 15 Pro Palette. It is a sleek, black, empty palette that you can fill yourself with your choice of whatever colours. The slots are magnetic, to ensure that when you insert any pan eyeshadows, you are reassured that they are not going to fall out.

Obviously, an empty palette isn't the least bit appealing, therefore, an eyeshadow in pan form was a must!

The shade I bought was one that I knew had to be my first MAC eyeshadow. It is the perfect neutral that suits any skin tone and is incredibly flattering.

The shade is All That Glitters.

This picture shows the magnet on the back to ensure it stays in place in the palette.

What MAC says:

Beige with Gold Pearl

It is a Veluxe Pearl Finish.

Personally, I think it is more of a peach colour when on the eye lids- but I guess the people at MAC are the experts!

Despite the name, this eyeshadow contains minimal glitter. It has a slight shimmer to it, but nothing too extravagant. It is a perfect day colour (and as I have said already) it flatters all skin tones.  Although you could dress it up with a darker bronze or brown in the outer corner of your eye, and use eyeliner, to transform it into a night-time look.
As usual with MAC products, the pigmentation is phenomenal, and you really get what you pay for. One swatch gives enough product to cover your whole eyelid.

I also purchased a lipstick that I have had my eye on for a while.

It is, in my opinion, the perfect nude. It compliments any eye look you are wearing; whether its a neutral or smokey eye, and again, it will work with any skin tone.

The shade is Creme Cup.

What MAC says:

Light Blue Pink

It is a Cremesheen Finish.

It is a really wearable nude, perfect for day and night. The name 'Cremesheen' sugests it is a very 'creamy' lipstick. It applies beautifully and doesn't dry the lips at all. Also, the blue undertones in the lipstick give the illusion of whiter teeth.
Again, pigmentation is amazing, not something I'm used to as my other MAC lipstick is a Lustre finish, which doesn't give as much coverage.

Pricing:

15 Pro Palette- £11.50
Eyeshadow in Pan Form- £10
Lipstick- £13.50

I hope you enjoyed this MAC post, and comment below and tell me any MAC products you would recommend!

Excuse Me While I Fangirl!

I am so excited, I can barely write this post! Ok. So, from my interests, and the fact I have mentioned them in some of my posts, I love One Direction! I am one of millions of girls, who are in love with 5 boys! Now, I know your going to think, shes just a silly teenager. Think what you like, but I will say, I am not one of the fans that only likes them for their appearances. I love their music.

But back to the post. If any of you are directioners, you may know that tickets for their UK arena tour went on sale yesterday. (You can probably guess where I'm heading with this!) I got up and was sat at the computer ready for when they did. At 9, thousands of other girls, like me, went on ticketmaster, and phoned up arenas for the chance for tickets. I had been trying for and hour and a half, and still had no luck. Until I finally got some! My dad was in the process of entering his details, when my best friend rang me up- I'VE GOT TICKETS!! So me and my friend bust have gotten through at exactly the same time!

Me and my best friends are going to see them at the Birmingham LG Arena, on the 23rd March 2013. I know its a long way away, but I'm so excited!
