My Favourite Pink Nail Polishes & Summer Picks

Hi Ladies. With Summer basically upon us, (not that you would know it with the rubbish weather in the UK) I thought I would show you my favourite pink nail varnishes that are also great picks for those warmer days when you are looking for a pop of colour on your nails.

Sinful Colours- Orange Cream
When in my local Boots, I was originally looking for Barry M Peach Melba; for some reason all Barry M nail polishes were out of stock, something to do with a faulty batch. So the next brand I immediately looked at was Sinful Colours. I found a colour almost identical to Peach Melba and bought it without hesitation. The formula is lovely, and I wore it for three days without a top coat and it didn't chip at all!

OPI- It's All Greek To Me
I bought this in Target in Florida, (sighs longingly) and wore it nearly everyday whilst I was there. It is the most gorgeous pink. One coat is enough for an opaque covering. The photo above doesn't really do it justice as it is so much prettier in person. I highly recommend this polish, not just for the colour, but the formula and finish is bar none.

Essie- Fiji
I managed to grab this on my Boots advantage card. It is a classic, effortless colour and is so easy to pull off. It compliments almost all skin tones and is the perfect nude without being to white. It looks very elegant too.

Barry M- Flamingo
Flamingo is a bright coral- pink. Again, it is very flattering, and for £2.99 you can't really go wrong. It is one of my go-to summer colours that I rely on again and again for a bright pop of colour on my nails. The formula is alright, once you try higher end nail varnishes, Barry M doesn't seem like the be all and end all, like it use to in my very early teens. But as I said, for the money, it's great!

Models Own- Soda Pop Pink
I bought this at The Clothes Show back in December for around £2 on a whim, and had never used it until about 3 months ago. I would describe it as a dusty rose pink colour. Different to your usual pastel pink- just slightly darker. I think its a little more subtle as its not as bright as in your face as some baby pinks. The formula is again alright with this, and it smells pretty awful, but I paid a minimal price for it, so I really can't complain!

My Top 5 Nail Polishes for Spring

Hi Ladies. Happy Easter! (A little late, I know)! I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday.  I am really looking forward to the days getting a little warmer (fingers crossed) and shops are full of spring shades at the moment. These are my top picks for nail varnishes in the spring months.

Models Own Soda Pop Pink: This is a really pretty almost pastel pink. I like it because it is still relatively bright, whilst being understated. The consistency is nice, the same as all Models Own polishes.

17 Woo Me: Woo Me is the perfect lilac colour. It is very flattering on the nails and although the staying power isn't outstanding, with a base and top coat you are looking at it staying on your nails for around 2 days.

Barry M Mint Green: Barry M Nail Polishes are one of my favourite high street polishes. They have an amazing colour range that are amazing quality and great value for money. I always get lots of compliments whilst wearing it. This is quite a good dupe for the very famous Essie Mint Candy Apple, because every one loves  a mint green nail polish!

Barry M NP 244: This one doesn't have a name, because I received it in a Barry M goody bag at the clothes show. It is a glitter polish with chunky lilac hexagons and subtle silver shimmer. It looks lovely paired with Woo Me.

Barry M Mushroom: This was the first Barry M nail polish I ever bought, and have loved it every since. It never fails to look classy on the nails, and although brown is a weird colour to wear on your nails, it does look very pretty.

Review: Max Factor Max Effects Mini Nail Polish in Fantasy Fire

When I was in Superdrug, I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer and brought a few bits. But I'm not going to show you a lot of the things I've been buying over the past few weeks, as I have a collective haul planned once me and my friend have gone on our Cardiff shopping trip!

But I will let slip that I brought two of the Max Factor Nail Polishes that have taken the beauty world by storm. I've seen countless pictures and reviews and couldn't resist getting my hands on some! The second shade I brought was Fantasy Fire- a shimmering purple with blue and rose gold undertones.
The first shade I brought was Graffiti, review here.

Like with the last review, the colour looks a little different in each photo- the beauty of nail polish effects!

With the shade Graffiti, I couldnt rave highly enough about it, but I found this shade disapointingly sheer. I have it layered on top of Orly Be Iconic in the pictures above.

The colour is simply gorgous though, I only wish it was a little more pigmented!

They are really reasonably priced to- they are £3.99.

Have you tried any of the range? What are your thoughts?
